A natural alternative to synthetic microplastics (banned by European regulation), Alter-Mattifier is fully biodegradable.

Composition : Alter-Mattifier is an ultra-fine PHB powder, a polymer within the polyesters class, valued for its renewable origin and biodegradable properties. PHB is produced by microorganisms as an energy storage molecule.

Properties:

• Provides a natural mattifying effect in all types of skincare products.
• Absorbs sebum effectively.
• Imparts a soft, creamy feel to powders, lotions, and creams.

Clinical test:

• Protocol : 10 volunteers with measurements taken of the sebum on the forehead. A 5% Alter-Mattifier emulsion applied on one side and its placebo on the other side.

• Results : Used at 5% in emulsion, Alter-Mattifier instantly absorbs sebum by 20.8%. No rebound in sebum secretion over time (results observed after 2 hours).

Renewable Origin:
Produced by bio-fermentation from corn starch. Alter-Mattifier is biodegradable at the seawater/sediment interface, according to ISO 19679 standards.
